For centuries, human folklore was rooted in the wild - in deep forests, untamed rivers, and ancestral spirits. But as the concrete grid of the modern metropolis swallows the earth, where do our myths go?
Urban Fables & Concrete Myths reimagines the exhibition space as a psychological ecosystem where contemporary artists chart the mutations of folklore, nature, and identity under the pressure of hyper-urbanization.
This exhibition approaches the city as a site of magical realism and dark fairy tales. Here, the boundaries between the organic and the synthetic collapse: Gopal Samantray and Dushyant Patel present an altered bestiary where tigers walk paved sidewalks and wild animals adapt to human machinery; Sajan Samuel and Ravi Chaurasiya transform structural gridlock and industrial scales into surreal, dreamlike landscapes; while Bakula Nayak, Ravi Kumar Kashi, and Manu Rathod use collage and symbolism to map the fragmented memories and isolation of the modern citizen.
Together, these artists act as mythmakers for the Anthropocene, asking us a vital question:
